DAY 1

ARRIVE TO RIO - WELCOME DINNER

Bem vindo ao Rio! You have finally made it and you are about to debut your remarkable experience in Brazil. Our driver and hosts will pick you up from the airport and once checked-in you get to relax and rejuvenate before joining us later for our welcome dinner at one of the best restaurants in Rio!

DAY 2

Kultured Day #1 - AFRO BRAZILIAN TOUR

Today will be your favorite day of the trip. Upon enjoying your incredible breakfast, join us on a culturally crafted Afro-Brazilian tour. Get ready for an immersion in the rich cultural African heritage in Rio. In this experience, you’ll get to know about the profound history and culture of Africans in Brazil. The highlight of this experience is the gastronomy, with typical dishes of Afro-Brazilian cuisine, very common in the daily lives of the practitioners of religions of African origin. In this experience, we will immerse ourselves in flavors, aromas, and sounds of a culture that is a pivotal part of the history of Brazil. Later this evening, we make our way to Rio’s liveliest street to watch Samba performances and dance our butts off.

DAY 3

HIKELIFE DAY #1 - PEDRA DO TELEGRAFO

Today is an early day! Grab your hiking gear and prepare to go hike to Pedra do Telegrafo, one of the most beautiful views in Rio.

 

With the illusion of hanging effect that it gives, the top has become one of the most popular spots for THEE Instagram photo.

DAY 4

KULTURED DAY #2 - BEACH DAY

Are the words "Relaxation" and "Turn-up" allowed in the same sentence? That sums up day four. After breakfast, we will explore the Ipanema art fair, selecting our favorite eye-catching pieces before heading out to not one but TWO of the most world-famous beaches in Brazil, Copacabana, and Ipanema beach. Absorb the vitamin D while sipping on some caipirinha (Brazil’s national cocktail). Relax and enjoy before we return to the hotel only to turn all the way up later in a vibrant local bar. You will have the option to join us on a helicopter ride to experience Rio like never before.

DAY 5

HIKELIFE DAY #2 - CHRIST THE REDEEMER

It wouldn’t be a trip to Brazil if you didn’t make your way to the world wonder of Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy your breakfast and let's hike up to Corcovado mountain where you get to admire this marvelous piece of sculpture. Next, we will make our way to the lush Tijuca Forest, observe nature’s finest, and drench ourselves in the waterfall drops before returning to the hotel. Later that afternoon, join us in sugarloaf mountain to watch the most beautiful sunset. Later this evening we will dine at one of the best local spots in Rio with a breathtaking view and mouth-watering dishes.

DAY 6

KULTURED DAY #3 - YACHT DAY

It’s Yacht time baby! Today is one of the many days that will make your friend back home jealous. Grab your favorite swimsuit and sunscreen and hop on our private yacht and sail the day away. We will sail around the coast and get our full dose of vitamin d. With a catered lunch and cocktails on board you are in for quite a treat!

DAY 7

FINAL DAY IN RIO -HIKELIFE DAY #3 - TIJUCA NATIONAL PARK - FAREWELL DINNER

Today you will get your full dose of lush tropical rush at one of the many rainforests in Rio. We will hike part of the Tijuca national park while chasing waterfalls. Be ready to admire the gorgeous landscape that will surround you and grab your swimsuit to enjoy the many waterfalls we will encounter on our date with nature. Later this evening join us wearing your best white outfit to our farewell dinner at one of Rio’s best restaurants.

DAY8

"IT'S SO HARD TO SAY GOODBYE!"

Unfortunately, all great things come to an end. After your wonderful breakfast, our driver will take you to the airport for you to begin your return journey home. We hope to see you again. Tchau

Understand that Brazil is a developing country and standards are not the same as the USA.

 

IT IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You are open-minded 

  • You enjoy eating, walking, and off-the-beaten-path ideas. 

  • You are a hiker, open to hiking, and in good physical shape

  • You love to have a great time and are open to meeting others and accepting the different personalities you will encounter.

 

THIS TRIP IS NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You have a tendency to bring first-world expectations with you everywhere.

  • You have a tendency to be negative or dramatic or are just plain depressing to be around.

  • You're not into trying new things or stepping outside of your comfort zone.

  • You have very specific and particular travel preferences and tend to criticize everything around you.

  • You can’t easily hike up. If you find walking tough, then this trip isn’t suited to you.

  • You are looking for luxury. Brazilian standards are not the same as it is in the U.S keep an open mind and you will have a great time!

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS

  • Full vaccination against Covid-19 is required for this trip. 

  • A negative COVID-19 test will be required to be taken no older than 72 hours prior to your departure date. 

  • As well as this health form will need to be filled.

FLIGHT

 

Fly to the Galeão International Airport (GIG) in Rio and plan to arrive between 11 am and 2 pm local time. Book as early as you can to save. 

 

FOOD/DRINKS


We will consume a variety of Brazilian dishes from Brazilian cuisine. Meals are not provided every day, so you are free to eat other dishes in non-group meal activities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES


This tour involves a lot of walking and sometimes hiking, please ensure that you are physically able to participate in those activities without complaint, if not then this may not be the best trip for you.

MONEY/CURRENCY


Brazil utilizes the Brazilian Real as its currency, exchange your USD to Reals upon arrival in Rio when we pick you up. Please bring cash with you, most places only take cash, some places do take cards, however, to use your card you will need to set travel notices with your bank account and also know that you may be charged an international transaction fee for every card purchase.

The best recommendation would be to bring your cash with you and exchange it upon arrival.
